The Board of Directors announces today that Bodil Ericsson Torp is appointed new CEO of Storytel Group, effective October 1, 2024. Ericsson Torp replaces Johannes Larcher who will leave his position in the fall, as previously announced.

She brings extensive experience and a proven leadership track record from the media industry – having successfully led significant company and digitalization transformations. Additionally, I would like to extend my gratitude to Johannes Larcher for his strong contributions in leading Storytel Group through an impressive transformation journey over the past years,” said Hélène Barnekow, Chair of the Board.
Bodil Ericsson Torp brings over 20 years of experience from senior management roles within various media companies in the Nordics. She joins Storytel Group from VO2 Cap Holding AB (publ), a holding company that refines and expands entrepreneurial companies in media, marketing and tech, where she has held the position as CEO since 2021. Prior to VO2, Ericsson Torp served as the Group CEO/President of Aller Media AB for eight years and successfully implemented a digital transformation across the media house, achieving substantial financial growth. She also spent 15 years in various management roles within the Swedish media group Bonnier, of which eight years in CEO positions, and has held a number of prestigious board assignments during the years.
Ericsson Torp holds a Master of Science degree in Economics from the University of Linköping, Sweden and an Executive Master of Science in Communication Management from University of Lugano, Switzerland.

Bodil Ericsson Torp will be based at the Storytel Group Headquarters in Stockholm, Sweden. Johannes Larcher will continue to lead the company until September 30, 2024.
